Automatic Black
Automatic Black is one of the premier rock groups of all time to be signed previously to Arista Records. The news stunned the world when the major label dropped the stadium phenomenon Automatic Black group in 2004. The record label's decision has likely permanently stalled the much anticipated release of the group's 2004 debut album "De-Evolution." Automatic Black was on the Roximus Maximus Tour opening for KISS and AEROSMITH in 2003, promising a huge new fan base. However, only the songs "Crash and Burn" (featured on Tiger Woods PGA Tour '04) and "Go your way" were released to radio. As their full length studio album with Arista was shelved, the band followed up by releasing a highly acclaimed 5 song EP independently in 2009 on Nashville record label Per Capita Records. Guitarist Stevie D. left to re-form Buckcherry with Josh Todd in 2005. He was later replaced by Mark Biondi.
Automatic Black is of the likes of Matchbox Twenty, Third Eye Blind, Nine Days, Rage Against The Machine, etc.

FiLM NOiR WORLD
Residing in the music of England, Film Noir World is a project by a one man band and producer who makes music that have a movie soundtrack feel. From love, adventure, to suspense, thriller, mysterious, action, and horror. A combining elements of electronic, trip-hop, and hip-hop. A persistent range of orchestral & relating strings and choir cliched phrases that Film Noir World has somehow twisted and warped just enough of a common thread holding it all together to make it work in a brilliant way. Multifaceted and brimming with an eclectic sound. The BBC and Hollywood in the USA may give this one man music producer his big break. He deserves it! The framework of the music is an exploring of complexities. A patchwork from start to finish. Film Noir World proves that it is possible to create music that is both powerful and melodic while, at the same time, conveying some human emotion, and penetrates to the emotional heart. An admirable and brave collection of tracks to say at least, which is quite impressive and an achievement.

Last issue, the Nottingham, UK-based Film Noir World took many honors, and deservedly so. FNW's sound is almostunlike any other dark electronica outfit out there today: dark, symphonic textures overriding and intermixing with state-of-the-art beats and synths, all rolled up into an ominout pop format. "Something Dark", from their 2007 debut LP, "It's Here...", is a blockbuster instrumental. Gorgeous Howard Shore ("Lord of the Rings" composer) symphonics glide into a funky andbeat-heavy electronica brew. The Mix of cinematics and electronics is extraordinary. "And they danced", a non-CDoffering," takes a different course. Using the symphonic brittleness of pizzicato strings, "danced" weaves a journeythrough odd nursery rhymes that manages to sounds both like "Days of Future Passed" (the 1967 Moody Blues classic)and trip-hop. Dense fx at the end add to the weirdish proceedings.

How German Is It
How German is it is an indie rock outfit from Brooklyn, NY indebted as much to the sunny 60s pop of The Tremeloes and the Mamas and the Papas as they are to more contemporary low fidelity trailblazers like Guided by Voices and Sebadoh. The songs on their debut veer from acoustic laments that recall Frightened Rabbit and Jonathan Richman (“I Will Be Famous for You”) to Latin-inflected chamber music (“I Believe in Me”) to harder rock informed by the riffs of bands like Future of the Left and The Hot Snakes (“Ugly Quickly”).
The Seasonal is a claustrophobic, schizophrenic album thematically connected by the seasons and the city it was recorded in (the album artwork consists of pictures taken the day after an unexpected tornado ravaged parts of Brooklyn). “Giving Up the Ghost,” the first track on the album, starts with a minimalist folk riff and culminates in a noisy, chaotic climax. Its first single, “Flags & Kings,” is Stephen Malkmus-inspired pop muted by ethereal chorus harmonies and lyrics provoked by a loved one’s losing battle with cancer.
How German is it’s debut record features a number of local luminaries from NYC bands past and present. Singer/songwriter Patrick S. is best known for his work in Naming Rights, a band that also featured HGii bassist JJ Starside. JJ went on to write and record much of Goodnight Noises Everywhere, the first album by indie sleep-pop darlings The Starside Eight. Craig Mercado spent time in Henry Krinkle and Naming Rights. Dr. Roland Rhythm, studio drum machine, has graciously stepped away from the kit to allow Timothy Gramling to take over for live performances.
The album was recorded in Brooklyn’s Studio Apartment Studios (which doubles as Patrick’s apartment) on equipment from the members’ childhoods, including a Casio SK-1 keyboard, a Tascam Porta07 4-track recorder (used as a mixing board), a Dr. Rhythm drum machine and JJ’s practice accordion. HGii is playing regularly in Brooklyn this summer in support of their record.
"Brooklyn band How German is it are a revolving cast of musicians and a new album out soon, The Seasonal (which "Giving Up the Ghost" is a selection from), a celebration of sorts of indie rock staples ranging from Pavement to Jonathan Richman, though as their bio states, they're "indebted as much to the sunny 60s pop of The Tremeloes and the Mamas and the Papas as they are to more contemporary low fidelity trailblazers like Guided by Voices and Sebadoh". The band are playing several upcoming dates in Brooklyn to promote the album."

Schizoid Club
Matney first appeared on the London music scene as one half of the acclaimed trance outfit Transfer Injection Burn. They were quickly signed to Aquarius records, where they enjoyed much success with their hard anthems tinged with funky breaks. With the collapse of the label 2 years later, the band dissolved and Schizoid Club was born out of the embers. Matt now seized the chance to indulge his love for hip hop, electro, breaks, old film scores, old school funk and jazz. The year 2000 saw the band's first single released on white label entitled "Adrenalin flowing" which sold out and repeat appearances at Glastonbury and Guildfest festivals followed. In 2001 the band released their debut album "Caravan Park Holiday" Independently to much critical acclaim.
Radio 1 airplay from the likes of Steve Lamacq and compilation inclusion soon followed, as well as licensing deals from the likes of Salomon Snowboards, BMW Mini, Budweiser and the British Tabloids to name a few. In 2002 the track "Driving with Cochese" was included in the soundtrack for the Film Four movie "Dog Eat Dog" In Europe It was one of the Most Downloaded MP3's of the Year and would have easily charted had MP3's counted at the time. After more festival appearances and remixes for other artists Matney took a sabbatical.
In 2007 Schizoid Club returned to the studio for their second album. A more dynamic and diverse sound was wanted, so new recruits were drafted in for the recording. Sophia Lolley provides the lyrics and vocals on the album. She is best known for her work with the likes of James Taylor Quartet, Bentley Rhythm Ace and Fuzz Townsend from P.W.E.I. She has enjoyed solo success with her single which was been played regularly on Radio 1 and championed by Radio 1's Blue Room Djs.
Jazz T provides the deck work on the new album. As former ITF U.K scratch champ he needs little introduction and managed to squeeze the recording sessions into his hectic schedule.
Other people have said.... Schizoid Club's sound has been cited many times as the rebirth of Dance Music in Europe, A fusion of Breakbeat, Funk, Electro, pop, Hip Hop Ideals and 70's 80's Movie scores. A diverse set of influences that somehow manage to sit together perfectly. Blending effortlessly from futuristic film score dream pop to pounding breaks tinged with west coast sensibilities Schizoid Club have it all and yet retain a strong Identity, sounding vintage one moment and on the front line of musical trends the next. One thing is for sure, turn it up and you'll sure get down.

Ya Za
Born and raised in the “Music City,” Nashville, TN, the multi-dimensional, multi-talented, multi genre singer/songwriter, Ilyasin “Ya Za” Zarifa is a reflection of musical diversity. She started singing at the age of 7 with the W.O. Smith School of Music Vocal Ensemble and is formally trained in the flute and piccolo. Throughout high school, she was well-known for her active role in the fine arts (music, speech drama, etc) and at the age of 14 started writing songs and lyrics as another means of expressing her many levels of creativity. After high school, the 5’9” “tomboy” pursued a career in modeling. She signed to Elite Models and traveled abroad as a runway model with much success. While focusing on her modeling career, Ya Za continued creating in her first love, music. At the age 19, she was asked to sing in a studio session by world renowned songwriter and hit maker, Adonis Shropshire.
