Per Capita Records is proud to announce the latest review of "Red Light Rabbit" by The Quick & Easy Boys as seen 8/04/2010 on PopCultureMadness: “They’ve become, in a way, the ideal band – a three-piece rooted in rock and roll that wears its funk and honky tonk influences on its sleeve. Maybe this is what the Hold Steady would sound like if they came up in Oregon and not New York City. It’s true, the trio is a rare breed. Imagine a band equally influenced by the Minutemen, Funkadelic, and Willie Nelson, able to make you sing along, laugh, and just have a good time. The ultimate thinking man’s party band." more... Portland, Oregon’s own The Quick & Easy Boys will soon roll out “Red Light Rabbit,” their sophomore full-length, on Nashville, TN-based independent label PerCapita Records. Brooklynites from NYC that are fusing together what seems like sounds from some of today's favorite underground "indie" bands, but in a complete new way like Beck first did when he hit the scene and turned all of Generation X into his own fanbase. How German Is It is not a band to be overlooked and in fact, you should take this chance now to cop a free download from Superfan2010.com. If you dig it, the full album is available just about anywhere. The Seasonal By How German Is It on iTunes #MusicMonday This! Automatic Black 08/02/2010
Per Capita's Music Monday pick for the week is Philly rock band Automatic Black! A/B had some great success in the beginning years opening for KISS and Aerosmith in 2003 on the Roximus Maximus Tour and what was to be their full-length 2004 debut album "De-Evolution." However, only the songs "Crash and Burn" (featured on Tiger Woods PGA Tour '04) and "Go your way" were released to radio by Arista Records. For whatever reason, the album was never released and never saw the light of day. Automatic Black now has a stellar 5 song EP out on Per Capita Records that you can download just about anywhere. What's next from A/B? We wouldn't want to spoil anything ;) Download: Automatic Black EP on iTunes Do You Like Music? 07/28/2010
